Hiya, and first of all, a massive SQUEE as I think we’re supposed to say on a blog!

Create maximum impact in this season's maxi!
By Corinne on 21/04/2008

It’s my favourite time of the month, when I choose a customer's question!

Suzie lives right in the middle of Norwich, where she works for a busy solicitors practice. She's been wearing Frock frocks for 6 months now, but has never been able to take the plunge with a maxi dress. She wonders if there are any tips I can give her.

Well, thanks for dropping me a line Su - having spent most of last summer literally living in them, I'm happy to say the maxi is definitely on-trend for this summer as well - only this time they'll be sunshine too - she said touching wood like mad!! It's really exciting Suzie a ...

An apple a day...
By Corinne on 14/04/2008
We were all having a really animated discussion last week in this dinky new Wine Bar in Weybridge…all about green. It's been officially on-trend now for 2 months, and I have to say that I came clean; I cannot wear bright apple green - the absolute shame. Not in cotton, not as a coat, and not even as a silk dress (unless I trowel on the foundation!).

You'll know that bright apple green - just a degree brighter than the traffic light and with a touch of yellow. But what's a girl to do? The colour looks great in the shops - strong ...

March: Frocks 3, shoes 2, leather jackets 1
By Corinne on 06/04/2008
Do you remember last year's Boat race? Me on telly? DB with his injuries? Well no excuses last week and he was lucky enough to be able to escort me! Now it's SO smashing to live in Putney, almost like being by the sea - but without the horrid wind!

This year DB had a buddy in the Cambridge boat, Jamie (oh dear!!!!) and we were going to have a spot of late lunch with his girlfriend Faye, as we knew that he would be rather tied up for the afternoon one way or the other!!! The eternal problem for me was what to wear? - it's always SO tricky ...

A 60s look for the breezes of sping...
By Corinne on 09/03/2008

I always have time for a quick Q and A, and this one is from Lisa, who lives in lovely Wells-next-the-Sea. Lisa is a fellow fashionista - and always keeps an eye on Paris fashion week. She's quite short, 5'4", but wants to buy into the Retro 60s look which we all saw being strutted down the catwalk at Dior. (Well I wasn't actually there, but hey! I saw the pictures!) She wonders what we could put an outfit together which would suit her job as a travelling publishing rep.

Well Lisa, the sixties look is manifest this season with a lot of structured tailoring - think  Yves St Laurent in 1965, but in breathable fabrics!! With your height, Lisa, you should avoid fussy patterns, but go for bold colours - and the high hems and leggings of the sixties are great to elongate your figure!!&l ...

Le Frock du Jour!
By Corinne on 03/03/2008

What I like about working for Frock is that we get really lovely deliveries from our French suppliers all through the season – something new every fortnight or so. Now I had just put the phone down the other morning, when the delivery man dropped off a big box full of this dress. Carol said I was squealing as I tried it on – and I knew it would have to be my first frock du jour! The lovely beaded trim on the neck, and the geometric almost Aztec print is soooo original, but on the lovely soft silk it is light as a feather! If they had hemlines this high it would be a real flapper dress – very 1930s Singapore! Now when February 14th came around, and DB nonchalantly offered to ‘pick me up fr ...

Well, the social whirl has started
By Corinne on 23/02/2008

Well the social whirl has started one more time, and I have been out nearly every-like night since Boxing Day (despite my little mishap on thie slopes - but don't tell the boss!) ...or so it seems!! Last week my friend Manon (she’s a theatrical agent you know!) had a really fantastic idea for her friends birthday party a dinner and dance! There was meant to be a swing band – straight out of the forties!! Now I didn’t know what to wear – I’m desperately trying really really hard to not just buy dresses all the time – and so I came across this skirt in the Frock warehouse – and it’s absolutely the business!! I wanted to create that really tight silhouette &am ...

New Frocks 9 Shoes 3 BOOTS 2!
By Corinne on 12/12/2007
OK, ok – I’m going back to basics now, and not going to talk about Frocks just for 5 minutes!! Despite Christmas being just around the corner (hooray!!) here are two pieces which are just divine all rounders – and I just know you adore our garments which have a double life – from boardroom to ballroom...(or photocopier to All Bar One !)

Now long knits have been a massive on-trend look this year, and thank goodness for that! This chunky knit jumper dress

Relish and embellish!
By Corinne on 02/12/2007

Frocks this month: 5  Shoes: 2 pairs

Now my absolutely top-notch favourite trend-du-jour is the embellished look. We all love jewels and a bit of sparkle for Christmas so this is the perfect look for the festive season! Remember less is more with this look, so don't go too overboard!

Since everybody is on Facebook these days, some of my old chums from Putney High had been repeatedly poking me, and we all decided (completely on line!!!) to meet up for an impromptu reunion!

Now what to wear – I didn’t want to dazzle everybody – but we ...

Now, just rolled back from seeing my friend pretty Pritti in Leicester – she’s the one going out with the Leicester Tiger – that’s a rugby team silly, not Benghal!!!! Now I was invited down to celebrate Diwali – the Hindu Festival of Light – which in Leicester is taken very very seriously indeed – but with lots of wonderful razzmatazz!!!
