Hello everybody!!!

Well my hand is only just better, and just as well - my loveliest chum Portia had managed to get her hands on two tickets through her 'work' to go and see Prince (yes PRINCE!!!) at the Millennium Dome! At last!! I don't always get to go to all the events on my Social Calendar, but I kinda thought that if I popped on there some of the fantastic pop concerts taking place throughout the country over the next few months it might actually get DB (Dearly Beloved) to book some tickets and take me - well it hasn't worked COMPLETELY yet, but at least darling Portia had come to the rescue!

Now Portia and I are like chalk and cheese! Whereas I'm quite lanky with long hair (for the moment anyway; I am thinking of going for a new look for the Autumn!), she's much more of a Reubenesque cherub! Now due to popular demand, I'll get on down and tell you what we both wore, before I regale you with the events of the night. Now Portia has pretty chestnut curls, so I insisted she wear this new Frock, gorgeous in a soft chiffon but still funky and fresh! Of course the fabric being lovely chiffon falls off your curves in such a splendid way! A pair of leggings, with these great shoes and Porsh was set for the evening!

Now, crippled as I am at being 5'8", I am duty bound to wear a Frock (I never were separates after 5pm!) and this is why Prince is just SO cool right now - PURPLE!!! Yup, it's so le coleur de la saison, it was literally like a dream to choose out my frock here at Frock!! And here it is!! The dress sits just above the knee, is made of silk and has a pretty rosette at the waist – glam but funky - and a nice bit of shoulder showing!

Now of course we weren't hanging around a dodgy crypt - au contraire
- we were off to the 02 dome - as we have to call it now - and we went on that new bit of the Jubilee Line. Now I'm sorry to say that in 1999 I wasn't partying at all - I was still living with Mummie - and as I had a sniffle, I had to stay at home with the olds and Aunty Barbara to watch the new millennium in on the telly. As a result I have to say, I've never been to the Millenium Dome, and golly, isn't it ab-sol-ute-ly enormous! The whole thing made Portia think we were in a film set! That would have to be one with a cast of literally thousands!!!! Everybody was in purple - of course - although I have to say, some people were an itsy-bit more overstated than we were! The whole place was like a raspberry sea!

The auditorium was AWESOME. A massive stage in the shape of a Prince squiggle - and the effects were splendid - lovely lilac smoke, lighting and lasers - and that was before ‘The artist formerly known as Price’ even came on stage!!! and when he did OH MY – marvellous! Three hours went in a purple flash - all my favorites - Rasperry Berry, Purple Rain and Lovesexy as well!! For most of it the audience were all singing along as well - can you imagine! Portia and I certainly gave it our best!!! There were three (yes three!!!) encores!!

The only problem today is I'm SO hoarse, I've had to get Rae and Carol to answer the Frock Hotline all day!

I'll catch up with you all soon - when I can dictate again!
