It’s that time of year when I don my flat shoes to scour the Pure exhibition at Olympia; the London womenswear fashion trade show. Held every February and August, Pure showcases all that is best in British fashion, footwear and accessories as well as labels from the fashion centres of Europe. As you know, we at Frock are always on the look out for new and exciting brands and there were lots to see at Pure. Many brands were showing their Spring/Summer 09 collections for the first time, so it was a good chance for me to get a good feel for the next new season and plan the Frock trends. From Olympia I headed over to Margin in Soho, the show for young, up and coming designers. There was a fantastic mix of product and I spotted some new brands to look out for in the future.

Not content with two shows of fashion, I headed off bright and early Monday morning to see some of my favourite suppliers. Gestuz have a lovely collection for Spring – more of their lovely structure silhouettes in classic black, a lovely pebble beige and pretty powder pink. A new brand for Frock which many of you will know is Religion. Loved by celebrity fashionistas such as Kate Moss and Gwen Stefani, Religion is known for its ‘rock and roll’ inspired pieces, having developed from an underground ‘edgy’ label into a unique brand with international acclaim! The Christmas collection is grown up and funky but still with the signature Religion feel and spring sees floaty white silk and pretty placement prints.

So many gorgeous things to look forward to… just watch this space!
